My Mom came out with her husband in their RV and we all decided it would be a GREAT opportunity to take the family to see the Grand Canyon. (i have never seen it! shameful!!)

Mom thought it would be great if Dale and his girlfriend Patsi came along.  I want to tell the world how much we LOVE Patsi. (i'm glad my brother met her!!)

We had a really wonderful time. The kids were excited to see Grandma and they spent lots of quality time together...

We took Arthur (i wanted something that would warn us if critters came to the tent at night...). WOW... i got more than i bargained for. Arthur didn't know what the HELL was going on. the first night he started getting all excited... and he basically peed all over the tent. he only got a little on the beds but it happened to be on STEVE'S side. wow. steve tried to get him to calm down and lay down in his doggy bed. as soon as steve grabbed him he POOPED in the tent. crap. seriously. there we were... all in the cozy tent that smelled like Arthur's butthole!  tommy slept through that whole mess!  Steve finally cleaned himself off, got into bed and the zipper on his sleeping bag wouldn't work!  5 minutes later we were sort of settled. all zipped cozy-like in our bags when the battery on my cell phone was going dead. steve had to unzip himself to find it or it would beep every 2 minutes all night long!  (enter more zipper horrors here) finally... calm.  someone's car alarm goes off in the tent. at this point steve and i burst into hysterical laughter.  we got about 3 hours of sleep that night. katie and i slept in the RV the night after that!!  man!!

overall, it was a great family trip!
